Saturday night we joined 9 other people going down to Vicksburg to see the oldest running melodrama performed in the world “Gold in the Hills”. In case you don’t check the link, the audience is encouraged to cheer the hero, sigh for the heroine and boo the villain. It is fun family fare with sing a longs included before and during the show. After the performance, the cast is in the lobby to talk to on the way out. Here I am talking to a cabaret singer whose voice was the strongest of all the singers. The older actress just beyond her has convinced her to join an operatic group in Vicksburg.
On the way home I tried my first (and last) Sonic’s peanut butter and bacon milk shake.
