The last phase of our new house is done. It revolved around the situation with what to do initially with the MG, which needs the tender loving care of a garage, and grew to encompass how to take all the stuff we have in 4 different storage units and consolidate them. Then there is the situation that there is no place in our house to have a workshop to do any projects. The answer? A Garshop!
While I had considered a stick built structure, cost made a steel building much more reasonable.
Our house sits on 5 acres of land a quarter of which is wooded. I decided that the site of the building should be in a little glade behind the house, nestled among bodock and wild crepe myrtle trees. Here is the site post some clearing and pre- construction.
Now with the concrete slab poured.
The picture on the left is taken towards the house and the one on the right into the woods.
Drum roll, please. And here is the 24 feet by 40 feet beauty with just a few things in it as it will be very messy once all of our stuff is in it.
